Wrap Around Care

Our school recognises that availability of wrap around care is important for all of our working parents.  Here at Dalton St Mary's care is available in the form of Breakfast Club, After School Club and additional, paid Nursery places each afternoon.  All wrap around care can be booked on a regular or casual basis, full information regarding bookings is available from the School Office.  If you are interested in securing any of our wrap around care please call in and speak with Mrs Irving in the School Office who will be happy to support you with this.

Policy and Procedures

Dalton St Mary’s additional, paid Nursery places, Breakfast and After School Clubs have adopted, and operate within the parameters of, current school policy and documents.
Dalton St Mary’s Primary School has extensive and comprehensive polices that meet with current Government and Local Authority legislation.

All school policies are reviewed and revised by Staff and Governors and are available from the school office, upon request.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is led by Mrs L Parkin supported by Mrs K Jackman and Mrs S Roy.  The club is held in the school hall and is available from 7.30 - 8.55, Monday to Friday during term time.  Children are provided with a choice of healthy cereals, fruit, toast and juice, on occasions Mrs Parkin and the team make 'special breakfasts' which include choices such as pancakes and crumpets.  Children have access to games and craft activities during Breakfast Club.  Breakfast is charged at £3.50 (7.30 start), £2.50 (8.00 start) per session which is payable in advance or on the morning of attendance.

After School Club

After School Club is led by Mrs L Millington supported by Mrs N O'Reilly.  The club is generally held in the Nursery building and is available from 3:30 - 6:00, Monday to Friday during term time.  On the last day of each term if the main school finishing time is earlier Mrs Millington will communicate with parents regarding After School Care.  Children have access to games and craft activities during After School Club, on fine days children have access to our outdoor facilities.  A variety of healthy snacks, fruit and drinks are provided.
Sessions are available to book for the following periods of time and are charged at a variable rate:
3:30 to 4:30 - £3:00
3:30 to 5:00 - £4:00
3:30 to 5:30 - £5.00
3:30 to 6:00 - £6:00
We are strict on timings, according to the school clock to avoid embarrassment on either side.  This means, for example, if you collect your child at 4:35 or 4:40 you will be charged the fee up to 5:00pm.

Additional Nursery Sessions
Dalton St Mary's is able to offer 30 hour Government funded places in our Nursery for those parents who qualify for this provision.  Subject to availability, parents of children who have a 15 hour Government funded place in our Nursery (5 mornings or 5 afternoons) are able to request full days.  Children who attend full days can order a school lunch through Livekitchen or bring a packed lunch from home. Nursery children are carefully supervised whilst eating their lunch in the main hall, 12:00 to 12:30, and then return to the Nursery building at 12:30 to begin their afternoon session.  Additional sessions are charged at £10.00 per session and are payable in advance or on the morning of attendance.
